PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dust removing device capable of removing stuck dust in a non-contact manner by irradiating an optical member with ultrasonic waves. SOLUTION: A dust removing device 3 is mounted on the lens mount 2 of a camera 1. In the case of removing operation, a quick return mirror 4 is saved out of an optical path, and a shutter 6 is opened. Dust G on an optical low-pass filter is irradiated with ultrasonic waves generated by a vibrator 20a via an acoustic lens 8. An ultrasonic wave generation section 20 fixed on a holder 21 is moved by a moving device 25 within a plane perpendicular to an optical axis, thereby irradiating the entire area of the optical low-pass filter 10 with ultrasonic waves.
