PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent control information on a road sign from being erroneously informed. SOLUTION: There are received 'the control contents of the road sign', 'position information on the road sign', and 'a direction applied to the control contents of the road sign' as the control information on the road sign from a road sign information transmitter 1 (S200); the advancing direction of a vehicle is detected (S202); it is determined whether or not the control contents of the road sign is applied to the vehicle on the basis of whether or not the detected 'the advancing direction of the vehicle' almost agrees with 'the direction applied to the control contents of the road sign' sent from the road sign information transmitter 1 (S204). When determination is made that the control contents of the road sign is applicable to the vehicle, the control contents of the road sign is informed to a driver in the vehicle.
