PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically adjust the image quality of a projection image according to deterioration with lapse of time and secular change in performance of components of a projector. SOLUTION: In an image projection system 1000, each projector 100 detects the accumulated use time of a light source lamp that the projector is equipped with and the use time and temperature of a liquid crystal panel and sends the detection results to a controller 200. Those parameter values have an effect on the image quality of a projection image and vary with time. The controller 200 sets prescribed control data to be used for image quality adjustments corresponding to respective projectors 100 based upon the detection results received from the respective projectors 100 and sends the control data to the respective corresponding projectors 100. Each projector 100 controls driving of a light source lamp and a liquid crystal panel based upon the control data received from the controller 200. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
