PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inspect efficiently a corroded position and the corrosion state, even in the case of a pipe where a measuring work from the outer surface is impossible such as a buried pipe. SOLUTION: Transmission ultrasonic probes 14a-17a and reception ultrasonic probes 14b-17b of four pairs of probe units 14-17 are arranged on positions where inspection ranges are partially overlapped, and a corrosion is detected in the range where an ultrasonic wave is propagated between the transmission ultrasonic probes 14a-17a and reception ultrasonic probes 14b-17b by each probe unit 14-17. Hereby, the whole circumferential direction of a pipe 1 is inspected without scanning in the circumferential direction of the pipe by the ultrasonic probe, and the inspection efficiency is improved.
