PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an elastic crawler and a crawler type traveling device capable of suppressing flapping of a tensile body while reducing traveling vibration of a traveling device. SOLUTION: The elastic crawler C is equipped with a crawler body 1 where a plurality of projection parts 2C lined up every a certain interval in the peripheral direction X is provided on the inner peripheral surface 1c and a tracker roller 32 rolls on the inner peripheral surface 1c, a group of lugs composing of a plurality of lugs 5 integrally formed on the outer peripheral surface 1a of the crawler body 1 in a predetermined lug pattern, and the tensile body 3 embedded in the inside of the crawler body 1 along the peripheral direction X. The multiple recessed parts 7 or sipes 12 are formed in the vicinity of the projection parts 2C or a high rigid part 6 corresponding to the lugs 5 on the raceway surface 50 of the tracker roller 32.
