PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent pixel shift at each laser irradiating position of a plurality of laser output sources through inexpensive and simple control. SOLUTION: The amount of shift, in units of dot, in the main scanning direction of the laser irradiating position on the surface of a photosensitive body is stored in an EEPROM 123 for each laser output source at a laser generating section. Based on the amount of shift, in units of dot, in the main scanning direction of the laser irradiating position of each laser output source stored in the EEPROM 123, a control section 122 corrects the lighting timing of each laser output source, and controls an LD drive section 121 to light each laser output source at the corrected lighting timing, thus matching the laser irradiating position, in units of dot, in the main scanning direction of each laser output source.
