PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for performing excellent friction stirring and joining by solving various kinds of problems by a deviating force in the longitudinal direction caused by the rotation of a bobbin tool or by a force in the direction separating from a joining line in the right-to-left direction of a joining position. SOLUTION: In a bobbin tool in which a rotary tool holds both sides of a base material by a pair of upper and lower shoulders located on face and back sides of a member joining line in a rotating manner and stirs a softened area, a passing-through space of the back side shoulder is formed at connection tools including a plurality of supporting tools at which a joining line restriction means restrictively supports the back side of members adjacent to each other across the joining line and the connection tool to integrally connect the supporting tools to each other.
