PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce possibility of a flow passage being clogged by excess flux and to minimize contamination inside a furnace, in a fluxing apparatus for applying flux to a column apex of a workpiece. SOLUTION: With flux 17 supplied to the surface of a pair of grooved rolls 11, 12, the flux 17 is transferred from the roll projection 12a of the grooved roll 12 to the applicator roll projection 13a of an applicator roll 13, so that the flux 17 is held in the shape of stripe on the surface of the flux applicator roll 13. In addition, by bringing this applicator roll projection 13a into contact with the column apex 16c of the workpiece 16, the flux 17 transferred to the applicator roll projection 13a is applied to the column apex 16c of the workpiece 16.
