The filter carrying ring is normally attached to the main body of the coffee maker with plastic hinges (10) yielding to the forces of gravity when the filter is filled with ground coffee and water. The new design of the area comprises a bridge (5) between the filter carrying ring (11) and the outer housing made of a slightly elastic material and arranged in a slightly inclined position. When weight is added the angle between the filter (11) and the main housing decreases but the filter is still kept in the appropriate position.
