摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste treatment apparatus capable of efficiently treating the waste generated at a deacidification step when vegetable oil is manufactured. <P>SOLUTION: The waste generated at the deacidification step to use sodium hydroxide when vegetable oil is manufactured contains oil content in which a micell is formed by the action of sodium hydroxide. The waste is diluted with activated sludge of such a quantity that the mass ratio of the activated sludge to the waste is≥1 and≤4 to prevent the hindrance of sodium. The diluted waste is retained in a storage tank 12 for≥4 days and≤7 days so that higher aliphatic acids are degraded into low molecular weight compounds such as acetic acid, propionic acid, butyric acid and valeric acid. The degraded waste is subjected to methane fermentation. As a result, the methane fermentation of the waste can be made efficient and the amount of the energy to be recovered can be improved by recovering generated methane gas efficiently. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p>
