<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently removing a harmful gas, such as carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxide and so on, which is emitted and mixed in the air. <P>SOLUTION: An air cleaning method removes carbon monoxide or nitrogen oxide from the air by combining carbon monoxide or nitrogen oxide in the air with a porphyrin or its derivative. In this case, the porphyrin or its derivative is hemoglobin having heme in which iron (II) is coordinated with protoporphyrin, myoglobin, cytochrome, catalase, hemin in which iron (III) is coordinated with protoporphyrin, chlorophyll in which magnesium is coordinated with protoporphyrin or copper chlorophyrin in which copper is coordinated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
