PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medium access control method capable of effectively utilizing a communication band and suppressing leak radio waves, and to provide a power line communication method utilizing the medium access control method. SOLUTION: In the medium access control method, a master station repeatedly transmits a super frame having a plurality of time zones for communicating with a slave station according to the number of slave stations desiring communication to a network, thus performing the medium access control of the master and slave stations. In this case, the master station receives a communication signal for desiring the transmission of data from the slave station before transmitting the super frame to the network (S33), and completes the transmission of the super frame immediately after completing the reception of the data from the slave station (S39).
