<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an n-type thermoelectric conversion material that is safer and has high performance. <P>SOLUTION: 1. The thermoelectric conversion material is made of a complex oxide that is represented by a general formula, Ti<SB>x</SB>M<SB>y</SB>O<SB>2</SB>(M: at least one kind selected among Ta, Nb and V; 0.78≤x≤1.0; 0.005≤y≤0.18; 0.01<y/x). 2. The n-type thermoelectric conversion element is made of a complex oxide material that is represented by a general formula, Ti<SB>x</SB>M<SB>y</SB>O<SB>2</SB>(M: at least one kind selected among Ta, Nb and V; 0.78≤x≤1.0; 0.005≤y≤0.18; 0.01<y/x). 3. The thermoelectric conversion generating element uses the n-type thermoelectric conversion element. 4.
