<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus reducing noise with a simple configuration. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus for forming an image by using an electrographic system, an optical unit incorporated with an optical system for image formation is provided with a space for a spacer to be fitted inside the optical unit.
