PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorption refrigerator capable of securely preventing a pressure in a refrigerator from rising due to the production of hydrogen gas while avoiding the waste of of a heating energy. SOLUTION: This absorption refrigerator comprises a reducing reactant 41 oxidizing a hydrogen gas produced in the refrigerator and a heating means 42 heating the reducing reactant 41. The refrigerator also comprises a control means 45 controlling the output of the heating means 42 to control the temperature tx of the reducing reactant 41 to a target heating temperature txs and changing the target heating temperature txs according to a variation in the produced amount d of the hydrogen gas in the refrigerator.
