PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a perfecting press system having the miniaturized seale and reducing cost, for fully printing up to the rear edge of a medium sheet. SOLUTION: This double-sided printing system for an ink jet printer has a print head 306 for printing on the medium sheet 312, and has a front double-sided printing module 302 and a rear double-sided printing module 304 removably connected to the front double-sided printing module 302. The front double-sided printing module 302 has a first roller assembly 308 for advancing the medium sheet 312 to the print head 306 along a medium passage 324 for printing one surface, and a second roller assembly 310 arranged along the medium passage for printing the one surface and operating the medium sheet.
