PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of manufacturing a flat conveying belt that can easily provide an uneven pattern on a conveying surface, can keep a certain friction coefficient even when oil or water adheres to the conveying surface, and has no dispersion in belt traveling performance or conveying performance. SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing the flat conveying belt 1 having the uneven pattern 3 on the conveying surface 2, an un-vulcanized rubber sheet is wound on a die 5 having an uneven pattern 3' to transfer the uneven pattern and is vulcanized. Subsequently, thickness is adjusted by grinding a driving surface 4 opposite to the conveying surface 2 having the uneven pattern 3 abutting on the die by a polishing method or the like.
