PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for drying a ceramic green sheet capable of uniformly drying it over the whole face of the ceramic green sheet and decreasing an unevenness of the thickness. SOLUTION: In the apparatus 1 for drying the ceramic green sheet, by making a hot wind from the upper face side a very little, there exists no possibility of putting the surface of the green sheet 50 not sufficiently dried into disorder, and in addition, by controlling the flow rate of the hot wind from the lower face side to distribute it in the width direction, it is possible to uniformly dry it in the width direction. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the thickness of the green sheet 50 from scattering in a drying process, and to suppress scattering of shrinkage in a calcining process to be a little.
