<p>A recorded area is formed on a recordable optical disk installed in an optical disk drive, and positional information indicating the tail end position of the recorded area is received in a predetermined area. A CPU reads (S7) the positional information from the predetermined area when electric power is turned on and determines (S13) whether or not information is present after the position according to the read positional information. When the result is affirmative, the tail end position of the recorded area is detected, and the positional information indicating the detected tail end position is validated (S15) as a substitute for the read positional information.</p> |
