<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the level of reproducing a thin line even in the case of using color toner instead of black toner when the black toner is insufficient in an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming system 1 is equipped with a plurality of image forming apparatuses 2, 4, 6 and 8. The respective image forming apparatuses 2 to 8 are provided with a photoreceptor drum, a developing unit and a cleaning device respectively, and connected so as to perform communication with each other. The image forming apparatuses 2 to 6 are color image forming apparatuses, and are provided with a plurality of developing units 13a to 13d prepared for every color of toner, and a toner replenishing control part which is informed that the black toner is insufficient in the image forming apparatus 8 and performs toner replenishing operation so that the toner recovered by the cleaning device and a recovery tank may have toner composition capable of producing pseudo black. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
