<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved biopsy device for acquiring a tissue sample. <P>SOLUTION: The part on a fixed distal end side of a needle is formed of a first material which does not interfere with the MRI image processing of a fixed tissue receiving port arranged in the part of the needle on the distal end side. Also, the part of the needle on a fixed proximal end side is formed of a second different material.
