<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide means for determining a network DNA for taxonomically classifying a computer network in relation to the computer network. <P>SOLUTION: A derivative network DNA component and a raw network component are included in the network DNA. The raw network DNA component can be acquired from a local source or a remote source. The derivative network DNA component can be produced in accordance with a specification of the derivative network DNA component. The network DNA determined about the computer network can include a component of network kinds of the computer network capable of indicating a classification by the network kinds.
