OPTICAL PICKUP AND INFORMATION PROCESSOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To offer a disk unit which can easily attain miniaturization.

SOLUTION: An optical pickup 200 is arranged movably along recording surfaces 10Aa and 10Ba between optical disks 10A and 10B which support rotatably recording surfaces 10Aa and 10Ba which face each other. Laser beams of two wavelengths outgoing from a semiconductor laser 201 are reflected in opposite directions respectively at a polarized beam splitter. The laser beams reflected are collected on the recording surfaces 10Aa and 10Ba through an objective lens respectively, receives and processes the laser beam which returns with the same optical axis. Miniaturization is carried out without the use of a moving member.
