PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent illegal copy of contents when content data with protected copyright is recorded in a general-purpose HDD.

SOLUTION: When the contents are recorded in an HDD 24 and when the contents recorded in the HDD 24 are moved to a BD 25a, a random number data output part 111a outputs unique collating information (random number) each time, and overwrites the respective collation files 24a, 22a of the HDD 24 and an EEPROM 22. Then, when moving the contents recorded in the HDD 24 to the BD 25a, a collation part 112 collates the collating information (random number) recorded in the collation file 24a of the HDD 24 with the collating information (random number) recorded in the collation file 22a of the EEPROM 22, and permits the movement of the contents only when both contents are coincident with each other.
