<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and properly provide data or the like necessary for a software commodity to a user of the software commodity purchased by paying a consideration, in a system selling a commodity related to computer software. <P>SOLUTION: In this system selling the commodity related to the computer software, the sold commodity does not include data or the like necessary to make the commodity function as the software though having a bit string pattern designed on the basis of a specific arrangement rule of a bit string, the user of the commodity reads the bit string pattern of the commodity by a device on the user side, accesses a device on a manager side managing the commodity, and transmits a new bit string to the device on the manager side, and the device on the manager side downloads the data or the like necessary for the commodity to the device on the user side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
