ELECTRIC WIRE REPLACING METHOD AND ELECTRIC WIRE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the occurrence of a stress concentration generated at a spacer due to the replacement of one of the electric wires held in the spacer for holding a plurality of the electric wires with a new electric wire.

SOLUTION: In a method of swapping the electric wire with at least one new electric wire 302' in a transmission line having a spacer 304 installed to hold the plurality of the electric wires at an interval between the electric wires by adopting a multi-conductor type using a plurality of the electric wires 302 per one phase, a plastic deformation is performed at a new electric wire 302' used to be replacement by giving beforehand a tension load so that the balance position of the spacer 304 when replaced with the new electric wire 302' is displaced to the balanced position of the spacer 304 when the plurality of the electric wires 302 are only the already installed electric wires. The plastically deformed new electric wire is replaced with any of the plurality of the installed electric wires.
