PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PDP for reducing a cost and time needed to manufacture a plasma display device and improving radiation performance. SOLUTION: The PDP comprises a transparent front face substrate 311; a back face substrate 221 disposed in parallel with the substrate 311; an electromagnetic wave shielding layer 301 fixed to the substrate 311; a light emitting cell 226 partitioned by a partition wall 224 disposed between the substrates 311 and 221; an address electrode 222 extending toward a prescribed direction on the cell 226; a rear dielectric layer 223 for covering the address electrode 222; a phosphors layer 225 disposed in the cell 226; a pair of sustaining electrodes 314 extending in a direction intersecting the direction in which the address electrode 222 is extended; a front dielectric layer 315 for covering the pair of sustaining electrodes 314; and a discharge gas in the cell 226.
