MANUFACTURING METHOD OF TONER FOR ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHY, AND TONER FOR ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of toner for electrophotography by which the toner for electrophotography is manufactured in a state of high sphericity and in a short time. SOLUTION: Oil drops to be an oil phase in a dispersion liquid are effectively solidified by pressure reduction and/or heating in a first solvent removing step and then an organic solvent is further removed from the oil drops by subjecting the dispersion liquid to the condition under reduced pressure not higher than the saturated vapor pressure of the organic solvent or adding an amphiphilic solvent to the dispersion liquid in a second solvent removing step. When the time from the start of the first solvent removing step until the ratio of the solvent residual amount/the binder resin amount reaches 0.8 is defined as T, the first solvent removing step is completed during the time of 1T to 1.5T to start the second solvent removing step, from viewpoints of efficient removal of the organic solvent in the first solvent removing step and prevention of an indeterminate toner form caused by boiling of the organic solvent in the oil drops.
