PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic toner which realizes excellent thermal fixation of image and provides a satisfactory image quality in an image forming apparatus provided with a fixing member having a high surface energy, and also to provide a production method for the electrophotographic toner and an image forming method using the electrophotographic toner. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic toner is used for the image forming apparatus provided with a fixing member having a surface energy of≥5.0×10<SP>-2</SP>J/m<SP>2</SP>and contains at least binder resin, a colorant and a releasing agent, wherein the content of the releasing agent is 10 to 40 mass.% and styrene-diene copolymer resin of 5 to 50 mass.% is contained in the binder resin.
