PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a timepiece with a novel mechanism performing a change from a winding position to a set position. SOLUTION: The timepiece comprises a case 1, a mechanism 6 disposed in the case 1, and a rotatable control member 10 manipulable by a user. The rotatable control member 10 is movable in translation relative to the case 1 in a direction substantially perpendicular to the axis A of the rotatable control member 10 between first and second positions, and a rotation of the rotatable member controls a function of the mechanism 6 in at least one of the first and second positions.
