PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage disposer control method capable of eliminating the manual input operation of parameters with respect to rotation of agitator blades and rotary vanes in each time according to the difference of charge amount of garbage and water content, and automating the treatment of garbage. SOLUTION: In agitating, cutting or crushing garbage charged into a treatment vessel, irradiating it with microwave and blowing air for heating and drying, the course from operation start to operation finishing is divided into several stages. Rotation of the agitator blades and rotary vanes is controlled at the respective stages. In this case, atmospheric humidity H<SB>A</SB>and atmospheric temperature T<SB>A</SB>are detected, and humidity H<SB>G</SB>and temperature T<SB>G</SB>of exhaust gas blown to the vessel and discharged from a discharge port are detected. When the exhaust humidity H<SB>G</SB>is lowered below a set humidity corrected according to the atmospheric humidity H<SB>A</SB>and/or when the exhaust temperature T<SB>G</SB>is increased above a set temperature corrected according to the atmospheric temperature T<SB>A</SB>, the operation is shifted to a next stage.
