PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a register counter apparatus capable of saving a trouble of transferring a market basket onto the counter from a shopping cart for a customer using the same and yet allowing the cart to move along a smooth track. SOLUTION: A register counter apparatus 2 (3) including a register counter 20 arranged along a customer route R, along which a shopping cart 6 can move, and a casher Q sitting in a workspace S at the opposite side of the register counter 20 to substantially face the customer route R for prescribed work, is constituted such that it is bent toward the customer route R at the upstream side 20A of the register counter 20 and enables a customer P visiting a register A to bring his or her shopping cart 6 substantially alongside the upstream side end face 20a of the register counter 20.
