PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing rod preventing a butt cap from dropping, and having improved operability. SOLUTION: This fishing rod 10 has a fishing rod body 11, the butt cap 12 and a grip 13. The grip 13 is fitted on the rear end part of a butt section 18 of the fishing rod body 11. The grip 13 is composed of a rubber, and is formed into a shape enabling an angler to lay the finger easily thereon. The butt cap 12 is screwed in the rear end of the butt section 18. The butt cap 12 is attached to the butt section 18 through a frame 25. The frame 25 is composed of a resin, and the butt cap 12 is also screwed in the frame 25. The rear end part 42 of the grip 13 is protruded from the rear end of the butt section 18 rearward. The rear end part 42 surrounds the butt cap 12. The grip 13 has a butt cap-holding part 43.
