A conventional bicycle has additional equipment, e.g. electric motor (1), electromagnetic brake (2), battery (3), control unit (4), and heart frequency transmitter (5) carried by the cyclist. The control unit is used to regulate motor performance and brake action dependent upon the cyclist's heart frequency, and by this control, keep it within certain limits.
