The connector (10) has a body connectable to one wiper arm end (11c) and means for holding and supporting the wiper blade. The connector has means for fixing hooked wiper arm ends, means for fixing pin-like wiper arm ends and further means for fixing a different type of wiper arm end such as a forked end. The connector can have a flexible area formed as a plateau which can lie in a plane with which the web of a resilient structure forms an angle of less than ninety degrees.
