<p>The invention relates to a communication-state-publishing gateway. According to the invention, once notification of a communication state change has been received from a terminal (T), a gateway (PP), which publishes the terminal communication states and which is connected to the access networks (RA) and to a packet network (RP), transforms a current communication state (EC) of the terminal (T) into an instant messaging communication state (ECM). The instant messaging communication state (ECM) is then transferred to an instant messaging server (SMI) such that the terminals consult the terminal (T) communication states.</p> |
