<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hologram-recording medium for selectively rewriting only desired data, without making other data deteriorate by recording holograms at high sensitivity, and to provide a recording method. <P>SOLUTION: The hologram recording medium heats an optical irradiating part to the neighborhood of the glass transition temperature, by having an optical absorption layer 16 of the hologram recording medium 10 irradiated with an assist light 30 of wavelength different from writing beams 32 and 34, and induces optical anisotropy for recording holograms, by having a prescribed position of an optical recording layer 14 corresponding to this irradiating part with the writing beams 32 and 34. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
