PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide image processing technique for suppressing unnaturalness in pixel copying. SOLUTION: An unnecessary area is selected from an inputted image, so as to set a plurality of direction lines which are radially extended from the unnecessary area with successively set notice pixels as a center. A temporary correction value for the notice pixels is calculated with the use of the pixel values of reference pixels which are positioned at both the sides of the notice pixels along the respective direction lines. A weight coefficient for each direction line is calculated with the use of the pixel value of the reference pixel which is set along each direction line. The weighting average value of the temporary correction value of the notice pixel is calculated as the final correction value of the notice pixel through the use of the temporary correction value obtained at each direction line and the weight coefficient.
