PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously image a specific object by using a plurality of imaging apparatuses, and to record a captured image so that it can be easily managed and searched. SOLUTION: Each of the plurality of the imaging apparatuses comprises an imaging section, a position measurement section for measuring positions, an object direction acquisition section for acquiring the direction of the object, an object distance acquisition section for acquiring the distance to the object, and an object position calculation section for calculating the position of the object in an imaging system having the plurality of the imaging apparatuses. One imaging apparatus provides an imaging system, further having a communication section for receiving the position of the object calculated by another imaging apparatus, an imaging direction measurement section for measuring an imaging direction, a determination section for determining whether the position of the object calculated by another imaging apparatus is present in the angle of view of the imaging section, and an imaging control unit for capturing the image of the object when it is determined that the position of the object is present in the angle of view of the imaging section.
