PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary battery pack which can be used as a backup power supply of various kinds of electronic devices without any problem and without adding any changes to existing electronic devices. SOLUTION: A step-up or step-down part 32 installed at the secondary battery pack 21 makes an electric power supply voltage VCHG given to a lithium ion secondary battery 22 from a power supply circuit 1 step-up or step-down to the optimal voltage to charge the lithium ion secondary battery 22. In this way, only with mounting the secondary battery pack 21 on the various kinds of electronic devices of the power supply circuit 1 or the like, the lithium ion secondary battery 22 can be charged by the optimal voltage, without adding any improvement to the electric device.
