PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery in which the aperture of the case is sealed by a sealing cap of which the strength is heightened by using a sealing cap having a first metal plate and a second metal plate, prevented from deterioration of output property by increasing adhesion property of the first metal plate and the second metal plate. SOLUTION: In a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery in which a positive electrode 1, a negative electrode 2, and an non-aqueous electrolyte are housed in a battery container constructed of a case 20 and a sealing cap 30 sealing the aperture of the case, as a sealing cap, the inside of the case is constructed of a first metal plate 34 containing aluminum and the outside of the case is constructed of a second metal plate 35 made of a high strength metal. A third metal plate 36 which is constructed of a metal easy to weld to the second metal plate is jointed to the first metal plate, and by welding this third metal plate to the second metal plate, the first metal plate is fitted to the second metal plate.
