<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an address management method and address managing device capable of efficiently and quickly managing an address. <P>SOLUTION: In the address management method, an address assignment range is managed. The address assignment range is set to each of a plurality of address assignment servers. The address assignment server classifies a plurality of digits of binary data into a plurality of stages, obtains a plurality of classified values, and assigns an IP address comprising the set of the classified values to an IP telephone terminal connected to a network. In this case, a hierarchy corresponding to a stage to which the classified value belongs is decided, and an assignment is made, where the set of allowable address ranges for allowing the presence of the classified value for each hierarchy is set to be the address assignment range. A new address assignment range is set so that the new address assignment range does not become the address assignment range that has the same classified value as the classified value for each hierarchy in an existing address assignment range, and becomes the set of the allowable address ranges overlapping with the allowable address range of the lowest order, that is the set of the classified values. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
