PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single layer or multilayer electrically conductive transparent biaxially oriented polyester film which shows outstanding electrical conductivity and transparency and which has good mechanical properties.

SOLUTION: The single layer or multilayer electrically conductive transparent biaxially oriented polyester film has an electrically conductive coat (a). The above electrically conductive coat (a); (1) contains electrically conductive indium tin oxide particles or antimony tin oxide particles and is in contact with a layer containing other electrically conductive composition b, or (2) contains the electrically conductive indium tin oxide particles, the antimony tin oxide particles, and the other electrically conductive compositions b.
