PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration control method for a hydraulic cylinder actively controlling vibration due to shock produced when the operation of the hydraulic cylinder of heavy equipment is abruptly stopped. SOLUTION: This vibration control method for the hydraulic cylinder actively controlling the vibration due to the shock produced when the operation of the hydraulic cylinder of the heavy equipment is abruptly stopped comprises the steps of determining the permission or rejection of the abrupt stop of the hydraulic cylinder, receiving pressure signals, determining the operating direction of the hydraulic cylinder when the hydraulic cylinder is abruptly stopped, and supplying pressure oil to the large chamber and small chamber of the hydraulic cylinder and returning the pressure oil to a tank.
