PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine output control system having an enhanced responsiveness in an engine output control without constructing a modeling such as a modern control. SOLUTION: The difference (an estimated torque balance TQx) between engine-generated torque TQe and estimated engine load torque TQf is torque acting on the engine. An acceleration calculation torque balance TQy, which develops as engine-speed change, is torque that develops in the engine-speed. The deviation of the torque (estimated torque deviation quantity TQc) reflects deviation of an actually produced engine load torque from the estimated engine load torque used in the engine output control. Thus, engine output conditions can be brought to more appropriate conditions by correcting an engine output on the basis of the estimated torque deviation quantity TQc. Since the control has a physical basis, engine output control of quick responsiveness can be attained without constructing a modeling such as a modern control. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
