PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the need for drain piping work or the like, and prevent degradation in function. SOLUTION: Drain passages 15, 17 for introducing the drain of a hydraulic motor are formed at a star hydraulic motor, which is a hydraulic device for a ship, for ship deck machinery such as a hatch cover or a winch. Then the star hydraulic motor is provided with a first input/output port 10 and a second input/output port. The first input/output port 10 is for introducing high-pressure oil at the time of the rotation of the hydraulic motor in the forward direction, and for discharging returned oil at the time of the rotation in the reverse direction. The second input/output port is for introducing the high-pressure oil at the time of the rotation of the hydraulic motor in the reverse direction, and for discharging the returned oil at the time of the rotation in the forward direction. Then a valve means 20 is arranged which alternatively opens the drain passages 15, 17 to either the first input/output port 10 side or the second input/output port side, whichever has lower pressure than the other, in accordance with the hydraulic pressure of the first input/output port 10 and that of the second input/output port.
