PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slope protecting structure which can be easily constructed, which is resistant to ocean waves, which is suitable for the propagation of plants, aquatic animals, fish and shellfish, etc., which does not damage a natural landscape, and which can protect the bank for a long time. SOLUTION: This slope protecting structure comprises a retaining wall body 2, and many massive stones 3 which are juxtaposed on the front surface of the retaining wall body; a connecting hole 4 is opened in the massive stone; a plurality of mounting holes 8 are drilled in the retaining wall body at predetermined intervals; one insertion part of a connecting member 8, wherein insertion parts are formed on both the sides, is fitted into the connecting hole of the massive stone; and the other insertion part is fitted into the mounting hole of the retaining wall body, so that the massive stone can be connected to the retaining wall body.
