PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drainage structure of a high drainage capacity utilizing the principle of siphon. SOLUTION: The drainage structure based on the principle of siphon has a water sump section 11 for storing drainage; a drain port 12 disposed on the side face of the water sump section 11; a path changeover means disposed to cover the drain port 12 in the water sump section 11 and having openings in upper and lower parts; and a drain pipe connection part communicating the drain port 12 with a following drain pipe. A float moving up and down in the path changeover means 13 is provided in the path changeover means 13. The float 16 is constituted to block the upper opening of the path changeover means 13 when the water level of drainage entering the path changeover means 13 rises, and to open the blocked upper opening 13a of the path changeover means 13 when the water level of drainage in the water sump section 11 is lowered and air is mixed into drainage in the path changeover means 13.
