PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper money processor for performing the money payment/reception transaction of paper money for making common a money payment reception port in order to decrease of the scale of this device, and for installing an accumulation wheel in the neighborhood of the money payment/reception port in order to prevent the jamming of paper money, and to prevent the accumulation wheel from being damaged even when an operator puts his or her hand in the money payment/reception port. SOLUTION: A protecting board 24 is positioned at the exposed part of an accumulation wheel 17, and protects the accumulation wheel 17. Concretely, this protection board 24 is configured of a plate member whose cross-section is shaped like an almost L character having a pressurization face 24a extended almost in a vertical direction for pressurizing accumulated paper money A and so on in paper money delivery and a protection face 24b extended almost in a horizontal direction for protecting the accumulation wheel from the insertion casting of the hand of an operator, and positioned at a vertical wall part 22 side from the outer peripheral edge of the accumulation wheel 17 so that the accumulation wheel 17 can be protected.
