PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data management device capable of improving the browsing performance of WEB pages in a client device by improving the response to the client device. SOLUTION: A WEB server comprises a WEB interface 202, a server application execution base 203, a server application 204, a database 205, and an attachment/detachment management part 207. On receipt of a WEB page acquisition request from a client PC, the server application 204 acquires WEB page data, when a removable disk is installed to the WEB server, from a holder on the removable disk mapped on a virtual directory to the client PC followed by returning to the client PC, and acquires the WEB page data, when the removable disk is not installed to the WEB server, from the data base 205 followed by returning to the client PC.
